Pink, blue, lavender and softest grey, the pastel diary of early spring days. The promise of a new palette. Until then soak in the light, the heart, the hope. Warmth streaming through the window after our wintery lunch. Pull back the curtains, throw open the door and listen to the whisper of the world turning. . . .
The colour purple
After the devastation of the storm, the tree may be gone but the crocuses are still blooming unharmed beneath it...... . . .
In the foggy dew……..#Pilgrimage ~ February
My Pilgrimage into 2014 goes deeper and the question has become how to visualise this path through photography? How to observe the world through a mist, keep all the options open and embrace the greyness. There's a promise now of rebirth and spring after the long winter. Walking in the steamy wet fields, in the muck underfoot, there's an . . .
Green shoots!!
And just when it seemed like the relentless greyness would never return to light, under the dark compost, luscious rhubarb was being reborn. It distracted me from the gloom....... Green shoots, seeking light, embracing shade and living in glorious colour........ . . .
Home
Clinging on in the storm The storm hit hard and I was in the thick of it swerving back and forth in 150k gusts. Finally reaching the warren of back roads nearest home, it dawned on me; I was crazy to be out in this weather! They pause and rest, for seconds at a time, and then they are on edge again, perching precariously. In the midst of them I found myself wobbling too and wondering what planet I was on when I decided . . .
Digital Biscuit and telling stories through film
Behind the scenes: Dry Christmas 2013 Evin on the set: Dry Christmas 2013 Last week I was invited to Digital Biscuit by the Screen Directors Guild but as I couldn't attend and probably wouldn't understand half of it, I asked Evin O' Neill who is shooting a project on the lane, to . . .
Still drawn to the evening sky
Having posted photographs on line for almost 3 years I've learned a thing or two about what people enjoy and at the top of that list would be sunrise and sunset snaps. In our house, and I suspect all over the planet, a golden sunset is still a magical yet unfathomable sight. Because my windows catch the south . . .
